Visual aspect: a garnet-red hue with crimson tinges and ruby tints. • Nose: powerful and fresh, with scents of blackberry and a slight gamey hint of dried meat. In the background hints of cherry and pepper, as well as a touch of dried herbs.
Palate: supple first taste, development reveals marvellous volume with lots of freshness and satin-smooth texture. The tannin is tightly-knit however, revealed by good acidity. The flavours evoke the aromas and there is also a touch of spices. The finish is fresh, with retro on fruit stones in Kirsch and blackcurrant.
Match with food: duck leg with cranberry and potatoes fried with garlic and parsley.
