Visual aspect: a bold garnet-red hue with crimson, purplish tinges.
Nose: lovely intensity with of black cherry, scrubland and cinnamon. After swirling, a delicate hint of leather.
Palate: concentrated attack, then generous on silky texture, tannin enveloped by alcohol, which gives a false sensation of sweetness, but remaining firm nonetheless. Flavours of blackcurrant and warm spices. Retro-olfaction is long on liquorice and spices.
Match with food: Beef Wellington and creamed potato.
Comments: a beautiful expression of Syrah.
