Visual aspect: a vivid garnet-red veering on a crimson colour.
Nose: smooth and fresh on aromas of cherry and dried flowers, pot pourri; after swirling it reveals hints of precious wood and spices (nutmeg).
Palate: rich and full-bodied on the first taste, it develops generously. Flavours of caramelised fruit, spices and cocoa. The tannin is firm, accompanied by tannin from the maturation wood.
Match with food: pan-fried foie gras, deglazed with cherry liqueur and the flavour intensified by spices.
Comments: a wine to be decanted.
