Visual aspect: a crimson hue, cloudy, with ruby and tile-red tints. Nose: scents of raspberry and wild strawberry, as well as a floral touch of rose and violet, as well as hints of undergrowth. Palate: pleasant, excellent balance, marvellous roundness and freshness on touches of white pepper, roasted hints of Brazilan coffee, a flavour of liquorice and pleasantly melted woodiness, a superb finish. Match with food: slowly roasted (confit) lamb shanks. Comments: an elegant, accomplished and well-balanced wine. Pleasant and enjoyable.
