Visual aspect: a bold, vivid red with purplish tinges. Nose: aromas of red and black fruit, with scents of roasting fine coffee beans (mocha, arabica) mingled with hints of spices, pepper and dark tobacco. Smoky, woody touches, it is elegant and fine. Excellent complexity. Palate: a stylish, classically elegant wine, well-balanced. It has a very charming quality, with a flavour of liquorice, and freshness on pleasantly melted tannin. Match with food: jugged hare. Comments: one of our absolute favourites, a magnificent wine!
