Visual aspect: pellucid and brilliant, with a dark ruby colour; the disc is averagely distinct and it gleams.
Nose: aromas of black fruit, liquorice, blackcurrant and sweet spices.
Palate: pure and very smooth on the first taste; wonderful balance, with acidity of the alcohol and tannin. The second taste is very pleasant and the finish has excellent length.
Comments: as ever, Mr Gayraud is skilful in his wine-making.
Match with food: given the suppleness of this wine, serve it with white meats, or veal and wild mushrooms.
