Château Langoa & Léoville Barton
Visual aspect: a vivid dark-purple, almost black hue: magnificent. Nose: fine and delicate, exuding hints of smoke and roasting, as well as some scents of spices and liquorice. Palate: intense and complex on freshness, followed by tightly-knit, but distinct tannins. Maturation in oak is perceptible. Match with food: roasted fillet of venison. Comment: a concentrated, stylish wine to be aged.
