Visual aspect: a garnet-red colour. Nose: aromas of cherry, prune in alcohol and liquorice. Palate: supple first taste, it is fruity with pleasantly melted tannin. Match with food: shepherd's pie. Comments: an excellent wine from a tricky vintage.
