Visual aspect: a bold crimson colour, showing lovely richness. Nose: pure, very fruity, spicy and slightly woody. Palate: a pure first taste, with development on melted tannins. Lots of substance and roundness. The finish is short with distinct tannins on the finish. Match with food: roasted sirloin with French beans wrapped in thin slices of bacon.
