The Union of the French Sommellerie (UDSF) is the federation of the regional sommeliers associations. It promotes the profession of sommelier, encourages education and organizes national and international sommelier competitions.
The Union gathers 21 regional associations. It totals 1,300 members. Each regional association is ruled independently according to statutes approved by UDSF. They organize tastings and travels.
The board of UDSF is elected for three years. Its members come from regional bodies. Since April 24, 2023 the board is composed of:
