Château Guadet Saint-Julien
Visual aspect: a vivid dark red colour, it looks like ox blood. Nose: vegetal hints and scents of moss, pepper, humus and undergrowth. Palate: very vegetal flavours, it is however full-bodied, with good structure. The finish reveals fruit flavours and a slight astringency. Match with food: fillet of pork fried with mushrooms tournedos with a wine sauce. Comment: a straightforward, uncomplicated wine that gives freshness and powerfulness.
