Visual aspect: very radiant, it has a very dark ruby colour, almost like anthracite, with a lovely shine.
Nose: elegant, woody and delicate, with aromas of blackcurrant, small red and dark fleshy cherries, and liquorice. After swirling, it is very expressive on distinct hints of liquorice.
Palate: pure, with good structure on the first taste; the second taste is very smooth and rich. Its fruitiness is wonderfully delicate.
Comments: a very good wine; one can recognise the accomplishment of a grand cuvee.
Match with food: decant before serving with a gastronomic dish; roasted meat and potatoes flavoured with garlic.
