Following a highly successful experience last year, SommelierS International has renewed its partnership with Kura Master, which allowed our panel of professionals to enjoy a tasting of around fifteen award-winning products (Awamori, Honkaku Shochu, Sake, Sparkling Sake, Umeshu).
The event took place in the cozy salons of the Hôtel de Seze in Bordeaux, where tasters were dazzled by the diversity of aromas and flavors in Japanese alcohol. With the presence of Mariko Koma from the Kura Master competition, which rewards since 2017 the best japanese beverages thanks to a panel of French professional tasters, the alcohol were further enhanced by the engaging presentations of Keiichiro Miyagawa, founder of the Kura Master association, which organizes the competition. Also the founder of Galerie K Paris and director of SSI International, Kei is a kikisake-shi (sake sommelier) and a graduate of SSI (Sake Service Institute). His expertise drives him to promote sake throughout Europe through passionate and exciting workshops and conferences.
This tasting offered us a genuine escape to Asia, extending our vacation by awakening our senses to distant flavors.
