Visual aspect: a pleasantly bold dark purple colour. Excellent viscosity.
Nose: powerful, on very ripe black fruits.
Palate: pure on the first taste. It is full-bodied and close to its ideal balance. The finish reveals plump tannins and retro-olfaction gives flavours of very ripe fruit.
Match with food: duck breast with mushrooms.
Comment: a velvety wine that should be aged more and certainly decanted.
