Visual aspect: a concentrated, deep, stylish black hue. Nose: rich, spicy and floral, with delicate hints of wood, humus and spices. Overall its aromas are rich and complex. Palate: good balance between rich substance and well proportioned woodiness. Full-bodied, with good structure, it gives flavours of red and black fruit, as well as a hint of peony and liquorice. The finish is well balanced with charcter and lovely complexity. Match with food: woodpigeon in a red wine sauce cutlet of lamb with a rich red wine sauce. Comment: we like the winemaker's talent he has skilfully proportioned his barrel maturation and given this wine a true terroir expression. A marvellous wine!
