Color: clear and brilliant, with a pale golden color and light greenish reflections, oily tears. Still youthful appearance. Nose: very refined and subtle, showing fine mineral character (flint, crushed stones, saline). Fine purity of fruit like preserved lemon, pale fleshed peach and yellow crunchy pear. Very fine and discreet smokiness and oak nuances of butter and fresh hazelnuts. The nose is starting to show its beauty with gaining complexity. Palate: with a very fresh and crisp attack showing a bright and refreshing acidity. The midpalate still has good weight and substance with an oily texture adding density. High flavour intensity with fresh lemon, peach and juicy yellow apple. Hints of gentle oak, fresh butter and hazelnuts adding complexity. The finish shows a saline mineral presence giving a persistent and clean finish. Comment: a rather fresh and mineral driven Chassagne-Montrachet style with great tension and purity of fruit, which will definitely gain in complexity through the next 5-7 years. Pairing: great with poached langoustines, garlic and herb butter.
