Clos des Papes

Visual aspect: a superb, dark garnet-red colour with purplish tints.
Nose: very delicate and rich, developing on fragrances of small black fruit (blackcurrant) towards scents of scrubland and a slight woodiness.
Palate: supple tannin on the first taste, it is fresh and velvety smooth, revealing flavours of small red fruit and spices. An exceptional finish!
Match with food: veal kidneys.
Comments: a magnificent, well-balanced, delicious wine. Get some as soon as you can, there are still some bottles left!
