Visual aspect: a purplish garnet-red hue.
Nose: pleasant and powerful on aromas of blackberry and black cherry, as well as a balsamic touch and scents of dried grass and scrubland.
Palate: elegant with a certain smoothness and marvellous fresh acidity, on flavours of cherry and spices, lovely, firm tannin and a finish that reveals a cherry liqueur flavour of Marasque or Amerena and aromatic herbs.
Match with food: crispy oxtail with Herbs of Provence served with Haute Provence spelt wheat risotto.
Comments: a charming, elegant wine, but we find all the difficulty of the vintage in the length.
