Visual aspect: a translucent, gleaming light ruby colour of lovely vividness.
Nose: pleasant on scents of fresh red fruit (cherry, strawberry, raspberry), black fruits (blackcurrant) and delicately vanilla-scented, smoky and slightly peppery hints. The nose is quite complex at this stage.
Palate: delicate and supple first taste, very fruity on a flavour of cherry, with marvellous freshness, extremely delicate tannin, but quite a short finish.
Match with food: rib steak with a butter-wine sauce.
Comments: absolutely delicious, very enjoyable.
