Visual aspect: translucent and radiant with a ruby-red hue. Nose: typical Grenache aromas, macerated red fruits, hints of cocoa, virginia tobacco and scents of violet and liquorice. Palate: rich and round on the first taste. Marvellous balance, with some acidity, very stylish, good structure, and lively, with character. Match with food: cottage pie made with duck meat, lamb navarin. Comments: ready to pour now. In 20 years' time, it could be mistaken for a Burgundy from the Côte de Beaune.
