Visual aspect: garnet, dark purple, peony reflections, thick tears. Nose: jammy black fruit, garrigue, laurel, black olives, chocolaty notes, liquorice when aerated, Szechuan pepper, complexity. Palate: ample, dense, rich, generous, silky and velvety tannins. Palate sweet and suave with a liquorice finish and notes of garrigue and chocolate. Match with food: grilled bull chops, jugged game. Comments: a nice wine, nicely ample and a good balance on garrigue notes.
