Visual aspect: deep, garnet-red colour. Nose: expressive, with aromas of very ripe fruits, compote, caramelised, fig, crushed strawberry, prune, notes of élevage. Palate: supple, fluid, followed by a rising warm sensation. Cooked black fruit aromas. A tannic impression dominates in the finish. Match with food: cassoulet. Comments: stemming from very mature grape harvests. It is a generous Madiran.
