Visual aspect: intense garnet-red colour. Dark purple disk. Nose: small black fruits, cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants. Toasty, a hint of liquorice. Wood still here. Palate: beautiful first taste, full-bodied, well-structured, still marked by tannins which only ask to melt. Great complexity. Match with food: rabbit stew; beef with carrots tajine. Comments: to decant.
