Visual aspect: a dark hue with garnet-red tinges. It shows lovely vividness and it’s pellucid and radiant.
Nose: scents of macerated red and black fruit (cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry); its aromas are persistent.
Palate: tannin and alcohol are distinct. It seems rather “rustic”.
Match with food: typical dishes of the South-West; red meat.
Comments: excellent potential, a marvellous Cahors.
