Visual aspect: a dark ruby hue with lovely shine. Nose: complexity and freshness, aromas of red and black fruits are mingled with a hint of damp undergrowth. Elegant tannins. Palate: full-bodied, pure on the first taste, superb fruit flavours, a silky sensation and a touch of liquorice. Match with food: rib steak cooked over the embers of vine canes, roast pigeon. Comments: very good. A unanimous opinion about this great ageing wine.
