Visual aspect: a bright disc, some delicate tears and a lovely garnet-red colour with pinkish tinges.
Nose: aromas of very ripe red fruits, cherry, blackcurrant, fig, as well as hints of woodiness and vanilla with a touch of spice.
Palate: lively on the first taste and development on good full-body. The finish is relatively long.
Match with food: roasted pheasant; free-range chicken from Saint-Sever (Landes); braised beef.
Comment: a very well-made wine, and an enjoyable accompaniment to an entire meal.
