Visual aspect: clear, ruby-red with a brownish rim. Good legs. Nose: clean. Blueberries, dark cherries, wild berries and prune on the first nose. Then gingerbread, mint, cloves, liquorice and herbs. Palate: good acidity with soft tannins. Black currants, dark cherries and cloves. Round structure. Lovely finish with cherry jam in the finish. Match with food: beef Wellington; roasted goose. Comments: decant before serving. A wonderful wine.
