Château Rayas

Visual aspect: a marvellous, radiant, deep garnet-red hue.
Nose: very delicate, discreet and elegant on lovely ripe fruit aromas. Smoky, spicy hints, scents of leather, red fruit and jammy fragrances opening up. After swirling, touches of fruit in Kirsch appear as well as liquorice.
Palate: tender, full-bodied, smooth and generous on marvellous, melted tannin. Magnificent length on the finish.
Match with food: roasted young wild boar.
Comments: an outstanding wine, one of the finest Chateauneufs that we have ever been given to taste! Fine art!
