Visual aspect: pellucid, with excellent density, it has a crimson red colour
with purplish tinges
Nose: fragrances of black fruit in compote (blackcurrant, blackberry), its aromas are very stylish.
Palate: pure first taste and wonderful balance; the finish is quite woody.
Match with food: duck breast roasted with blackberries; mushrooms fried with Grenailles potatoes; Cassoulet with duck confit (the fat of the duck meat absorbs the tannin).
Comments: a splendid wine, clearly a Cahors because of its acidity and style.
