Visual aspect: vivid, radiant and pellucid, its colour is ink-black with bluish tinges.
Nose: complex and still rather closed, it reveals some aromas of small black fruits, as well as hints of spices and peony.
Palate: full-bodied, voluminous, with concentrated, rich substance and ripe tannins. Fruity on the finish, sustained by delicate acidity and wonderful length.
Match with food: roasted pheasant.
Comment: an impressive wine which will be at its best in a few years' time.
