Visual aspect: deep garnet-red with purplish tinges. Nose: beautiful intensity, complexity with scents of black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry), coated by the vanilla side of the wood. Palate: frank first taste which brings us to an ample mid-palate, coated by woody and macerated fruit aromas. Fine tannins, good concentration. Long and finely woody finish. Match with food: duckling with wine sauce. Comments: a lovely wine to decant when drunk young, and to taste again in five years.
