Visual aspect: ruby-red colour with brilliant tinges. Some tears. Nose: elaborate, with a mix of fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), spices (clove), notes of toasted vanilla. Palate: pleasant first taste, fine tannins. Warm palate, because of the presence of the alcohol. Warm finish marked with the barrel ageing. Match with food: rack and saddle of lamb roasted with Espelette chili pepper, crisp vegetables. Comments: to decant for a better airing.
