Visual aspect: very dark ruby-red colour, opaque, brilliant with purple tinge. Thick and long tears. Nose: aromas of sweet spices (cinnamon), brandied cherry, liquorice. Red fruit compote. Palate: powerful and generous. Fleshy wine. A over-ripe Shiraz. Very broad on the palate with a tannic finish, nearly astringent. Match with food: sautéed veal with anchovy sauce.
