Visual aspect: pellucid and bright, showing a ruby-red hue and purple tinges.
Nose: marvellous, exuding aromas of small black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry).
Palate: good balance, elegant and velvety-smooth, sustained by a full-bodied, stylish texture and excellent, rich tannin. The finish is fresh and is pleasantly long on hints of liquorice.
Match with food: leg of lamb cooked with morel mushrooms.
Comments: a finely balanced wine that gives pure pleasure.
