Visual aspect: a beautiful purplish-red hue. Clearly radiant.
Nose: charming. Woody, with scents of vanilla and touch of cherry and spices.
Palate: a distinct taste of wood. The tannin is very tightly-knit. The fruit is masked by the wood, which needs to blend in. An excellent finish.
Match with food: wild boar stew, meats cooked in sauce.
Comments: one of the loveliest successes of the appellation. We highly recommend tasting it again soon.
