Champagne Henriot

— Cuvée Hemera 2013 —

The Hemera cuvée is a symbol of the union of Terroirs. In 1808, when Apolline Henriot founded Maison Henriot, her vineyard was located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, on the crus of Verzy, Verzenay, and Mailly-Champagne. In 1880, through the marriage of Paul Henriot (4th generation) and Marie Marguet, three more crus joined the Henriot vineyard: Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Chouilly.

Thus, Henriot Hemera 2013 is crafted from an equal blend of these six founding crus. The 2013 vintage represents the perfect alliance between 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards. After aging for over 10 years, the wine reveals its full finesse, with a precise dosage of 3.5 g/l, giving it balance and elegance.

This cuvée is also presented in an exceptional gift box, accompanied by six mouth-blown crystal glasses, designed by Lehmann, which reflect not only the viticultural excellence of this rare vintage but also the Maison's sustainable commitment to design and craftsmanship.

Tasting review

Color: golden yellow, bright, and sparkling.

Nose: refined and precise, with delicate aromas of bergamot, pomelo, and candied lemon, evolving towards notes of roasted almonds, toasted bread, and subtle smoky scents.

Palate: fresh and intense, with a balanced structure supported by a beautiful mineral tension, slightly chalky. The finish is saline, long, and flavorful.

Pairing: monkfish medallion, matelote sauce, and seasonal vegetables.

Comment: Maison Henriot presents us with a magnificent interpretation of the 2013 vintage, precise and delicate.
