Visual aspect: a garnet-red hue with a very slight orange-coloured tinge. Nose: complex, exuding a wide range of aromas, from mocha to liquorice, with some floral hints too (violet). Palate: elegant and warm, the first taste is round and velvety smooth. Flavours of sweet spices, liquorice, fruit (cherry, plum) and fruit liqueur (strawberry). The finish is long and elegant. Match with food: thin strips of duck breast with truffle flavoured pepper. Comment: this well balanced wine can be enjoyed now, but will give even more pleasure in four or five years' time.
