Khêmeia emerges in the heart of Charente-Maritime, within the Aumagne distillery. This whisky embodies a commitment to quality and a passion for crafting exceptional spirits, thus marking a turning point in the world of French whiskies.

Born from the expertise of a single distillery, it conveys all the quality of its terroir and its authenticity upon tasting. Its distillation in copper stills gives Khêmeia a unique texture and aromas, while its ageing in Bourbon casks, caressed by the oceanic winds of the region, grants it unparalleled complexity. Under the guidance of master distiller Monia Martin, Khêmeia stands out for its rich, subtle, and authentic aromatic profile, reflecting the exceptional terroir of its production and offering a unique and captivating tasting experience.

 

Tasting review

Color: brilliant, with an intense amber color and coppery reflections.
Nose: sweet and spicy. Full of dry spices like cinnamon, cloves, combined with dried stone fruits, candied orange peels, and prunes. Fine malt, subtle woody influence, reminiscent of toasted bread and cedar.
Palate: sweet and spicy attack, with a creamy mouthfeel and a pleasantly warming alcohol. The mid-palate is spicy, with cardamom and cinnamon, prunes, candied orange, toasted bread, and malt. The addition of water enhances a subtle salty and iodized scent, adding another dimension of freshness.
Pairing: could perfectly accompany seared foie gras with caramelized apples, spices, and gingerbread.
Comment: a beautiful example of French single malt.
