After unveiling its new identity through its flagship cuvée, Brut Léonie Iconic, Maison Canard-Duchêne has evolved its former Charles VII range, now rebranded as the Iconic Collection. This name change aligns with the oenological approach initiated by Laurent Fédou, an emblematic figure of the House, and now continued by Cynthia Fossier, the new cellar master.
With its fresh, indulgent, and complex style crafted for gastronomy, Brut Léonie Iconic embodies this move upmarket. The collection also features three other exceptional cuvées: Blanc de Noirs Iconic (with a significant portion of perpetual reserve made from the finest Pinot Noirs since 2012), Blanc de Blancs Iconic (showcasing the freshness and richness of Chardonnay), and Brut Rosé Iconic (a Rosé de Saignée), all exclusively dedicated to wine merchants and fine dining establishments.
This collection highlights a specific grape variety or winemaking technique, offering a true expression of the Champagne terroir, particularly the Montagne de Reims, which holds special significance for the House. The aging process is carefully extended and controlled within six kilometers of underground chalk cellars, providing the ideal environment to refine the wines.
In line with its commitment to sustainability, Maison Canard-Duchêne—having introduced a uniquely shaped bottle with both oenological and ecological benefits during its centenary celebration (one of the first of its kind in Champagne)—has also reduced the bottle's weight by 13%, significantly lowering its environmental impact beyond current industry standards. The packaging has been redesigned with a sleek and contemporary look. The label, with its rounded lines, showcases vibrant and dynamic colors, reflecting the character and energy of the wines.
A truly remarkable new identity!
