Color: deep gold. Nose: ripe fruits, quince, toasted almond, cereals, caramel, wood, mushroom, walnut, black pepper. Palate: lovely tangy and fresh attack, touch of acidity, jammy yellow fruits. Notes of oak, spice, caramel, vanilla, caramelized apple, coffee, plum in brandy. Very well-balanced with great length. Pairing: mirabelle tart with buckthorn honey. Comment: a pure and rounded expression of a top-quality shochu. Powerful yet aromatically very engaging.
