Color: clear and bright, with a moderate amber-golden color and a light greenish rim. Nose: fine complexity, with a combination of dried prune, raisin and sweet spices, roasted walnut. Aeration reveals orange chutney, honeyed apricots, hint of tobacco. A rather layered nose for a VSOP. Palate: sweet, rounded and generous attack, with apricot jam and marmalade, sweet vanilla and cinnamon, roasted hazelnuts, hint of cacao and cardamom.
