Visual aspect: a delicately dark ruby colour, with ruby tints, it is pellucid and gleams with marvellous intensity.
Nose: lovely powerfulness on aromas of ripe fruit (cherry, blackcurrant) and a slight vanilla, peppery hint.
Palate: supple first taste, fresh and elegant. The second taste gives fruit flavours (cherry) and the finish is quite long, with delicate, pleasant tannin.
Match with food: pigeon in red wine sauce, served with creamy polenta.
Comments: marvellous complexity and really delicious.
