Color: deep garnet red with ruby highlights. Nose: very expressive, with fresh fruit (bigarreau cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry), slightly vegetal. Palate: generous, with lovely substance, silky tannins and very well-integrated oak. A warm, generous vintage. Pairing: Charolais beef fillet with redcurrant jus and a green bean ballotin. Comment: a fine bottle still in its youth. Wait 3-4 years for it to reveal all its aromas. Cellaring 10-12 years.
