Color: dark ruby with a slightly orange rim. Nose: very ripe black plum, cassis, blackberry, leather and tobacco. Oak ageing marked by roasted wood and sweet spices. Palate: generous and concentrated from the attack, with supple acidity. Ripe black fruit, spices and roasted oak dominate. Silky tannins, with warming but noticeable alcohol, in an almost full-bodied structure. Pairing: tagliatelle with Parmesan shavings and balsamic sauce. Comment: generous and powerful.
