Visual aspect: a ruby-deep orange hue. Nose: roasted, smoky, spicy, toasted scents mingled with aromas of jam, pepper, leather, game and menthol. Palate: silky, fruity, smooth, velvety, mentholated and mineral, giving a sensation of warm pebbles. The tannins are long. Match with food: roast leg of lamb with anchovies, hare royale. Comments: a fine quality wine which should be decanted.
