Visual aspect: beautiful radiance, with a purple hue and dark tints.
Nose: very expressive on scents of zan, black fruit jam, liquorice, aromas of violet, apple, tangerine, cedar and cocoa.
Palate: pure first taste; the structure of the tannins is tightly-knit and delicate with marvellous maturity. A flavour of liquorice is predominant. Retro-olfaction gives complex flavours of black fruit, pepper and zan. The tannin is very distinct. A long finish with lovely fullness.
Match with food: lamb and desserts made with dark chocolate.
Comments: a most charming wine with tremendous character and wonderful expression. A real pleasure!
