Nose: very delicate and intense because of its aromas of spices and blackcurrant, followed by floral scents after swirling.
Palate: full-bodied, clean and smooth with silkiness, lovely depth for this vintage and density too, with flavours of spices. It finishes on long, tightly-knit tannin.
Match with food: 7-hour roasted wild boar on delicately vanilla-flavoured mashed potato.
Comments: an excellent ageing wine, produced by a talented winemaker.
