Bordeaux blanc 2022
Château Aurore, entirely cultivated using organic farming methods, has been a part of the Invindia vineyards since 2014. This estate, located in the town of Moulon, encompasses 12 hectares of vineyards on clay-limestone soil facing the vineyards of Saint-Émilion, at the heart of the Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellation.
Its terroir is among the finest in the Entre-deux-Mers, with its unique hillside exposure. The estate also serves as a small experimental organic vineyard.
With Les Fleurs du Mal Bordeaux blanc 2022 cuvée, a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, the ageing process occurred on lees for 4 months, with 20% in new oak barrels and 80% in concrete tanks, resulting in a moment of poetry crafted by Hugues Laborde.
Color: beautiful pale yellow robe with silvery reflections. Clear and crystal-clear.
Nose: the first nose is clean, highly aromatic, featuring notes of boxwood, citrus, peach, and white flowers. The second nose reveals hints of pear with a slight toasty character.
Palate: the palate starts with a lovely vivacity, unveiling flavors of white flowers and finishing with a gentle salinity.
Pairing: grilled royal sea bream with garlic parsley zucchinis or lemon sole.
Comment: a magnificent, pure, and elegant bottle that perfectly embodies the revival of Bordeaux wines.
