Château Larrivet Haut-Brion
Color: intense garnet hue, finely colored tears. Nose: finely woody, delicate, slightly stewed red berries, with delicately spicy approach. Palate: fine, delicate, with a suave mid-palate. Smoky and sapid retro-olfaction. The tannins are silky and integrated. Pairing: lamb chops, mashed parsnips; delicately peppered pork cheek, grilled vegetables. Comment: a great wine typical of its terroir, worthy of a great Pessac-Léognan. Age 10 years.
