Color: light ruby with garnet highlights. Nose: generous and warm, showing fresh fruit (redcurrants) and a fine spicy hint. Palate: ample, fresh and velvety on the attack, offering lovely balance between flowers and fruit (rose, red berries). Very pleasing. Very fine tannins, beautiful aromatics, finesse and elegance. Lovely persistent finish. Pairing: poultry and foie gras pithivier. Comment: a fine age-worthy Burgundy that is a true expression of the appellation. Cellaring 10 years.
